DJ Ron W began his musical career in the late 1960’s in his birthplace of Spanish Town, Jamaica where he had a sound system called Top Pops Disco, considered one of the highest quality sounds from Spanish Town.  In the 1970’s Top Pops was one of the premier sound systems performing at the UWI Nurse’s parties and events for the First National Bank of Chicago in Kingston. Ron recalls that at a party for one of the Merritone brothers he commented, “me neva know she country man have dem kinda music”.

With his vast collection of music and years of experience, Ron W has the ability to perform for any occasion, not only with his selections but also with amazing sound quality from his state of the art equipment. Ron often remarks, “I always do my best to give the people what they want”. Since retiring from his full time job in electronics retail management, Ron is finding fulfillment for his longtime passion for music by entertaining us with his playing on internet radio. Ron W can be heard every Saturday from 3 to 6 pm.
